McCormick X60.50 X-Black Edition at SIMA 2013
Wed 20/02/2013
ARGO Tractors will present an eye-catching special edition of its popular McCormick X60 four-cylinder tractor at the SIMA agricultural machinery show.Finished in matte black with grey highlights, and with red model identification matching the 'McCormick’ grille badge, the X-Black Edition also has the added appeal of leather-style covering for the driver’s air suspension seat and for the training or instructor’s seat alongside.
“The X60 is proving a very successful replacement for the venerable CX range, with its tougher build, more versatile transmission and higher power engines,” says Ray Spinks of AgriArgo UK. “The X60.50 X-Black Edition will have a dramatic visual impact surrounded by tractors in the usual McCormick red and silver colours.”
Another McCormick X60 may prove just as eye-catching though: an example finished in bright orange to emphasise the tractor’s suitability for use by local authority contracting teams and independent contractors carrying out highway and road-side maintenance work.
The regular McCormick X60 Series is made up of four models with Perkins four-cylinder 1104-44 Series engines from 92hp to 121hp driving through a 36x12 transmission with three-speed powershift. A creep gearbox can be added for extra-slow working speed and the 60-litre/min hydraulics (supplemented by a dedicated 30-litre/min pump for steering and other essentials) gives the three point linkage 5000kg of lift capacity.
